Technology - the new mediator of learning - has both revolutionised the way we learn languages and created a sense of urgency in the need to modernise the initial and ongoing training of today’s and tomorrow’s professionals.
As a result, by focusing on research, technological development and innovation, this conference will explore the potential of technology and of the expansion of educational opportunities in foreign languages to provide a basis for addressing the current issues both higher education and the job market are facing in the 21st century.
A key aspect of the current socio-economic reality is to support learners in increasing their foreign language skills and other competencies required in today’s technology mediated society (team work, project management or the use of digital technologies for example) and help them enhance their employability on the job market.

Le XXVIIIème Colloque International EUROCALL (European Association for Computer Assisted Language Learning) est organisé par le Cnam & Sorbonne Université. La thématique privilégiée cette année est l’enseignement-apprentissage des langues dans ses liens avec le numérique et la professionalisation. Ce sera l’occasion d’explorer les questions vives qui se posent dans ce domaine à des fins d’employabilité dans un monde globalisé.
Les outils numériques – nouveaux médiateurs du savoir – ont à la fois révolutionné les modalités d’apprentissage des langues et engendré un besoin urgent de moderniser la formation initiale et continue des professionnels d’aujourd’hui et de demain.
En prenant appui sur les apports de la recherche et les dernières avancées technologiques, cette conférence s’intéressera au potentiel des outils numériques – et des nombreux artefacts pédagogiques dédiés à l’enseignement-apprentissage des langues qu’ils ont engendrés – à répondre aux enjeux auxquels l’enseignement supérieur et le marché du travail font face au 21ème siècle.
Dans la conjoncture socioéconomique actuelle, pour que les apprenants améliorent leur employabilité et réussissent leur insertion professionnelle, il est crucial de les aider à développer des compétences linguistiques et des compétences qui, comme le travail collaboratif, la gestion de projet ou l’utilisation des outils numériques, se posent comme des incontournables dans un monde digitalisé.
